Covering material on your aircraft
Extreme Flight aircraft are covered with a material called "Oracover", produced by Lanitz-Prena in Germany. In the United States, Oracover is called "Ultracote" and is available in most retail hobby outlets. Most of our aircraft, on their web pages, have a link to a Spec Sheet at the bottom of the page. This spec sheet lists the colors, in both the Oracover and Ultracote numbering systems, used on the aircraft.
If you are inexperienced working with Oracover, the best rouce of information is the instructions which are packaged with any roll of the material. HERE is a web link to those instructions.
NOTE: Occasionally, certain colors may be in short supply in the Oracover system. In these cases, we substitute the closest available Oracover substitute color. So, be aware that the color data is not absolute, especially as concerns the historically scarce colors Pearl Blue and Pearl Charcoal.
Skywing brand aircraft are covered in special Skywing brand covering film. Some of these colors are very close to Oracover colors and repair using Oracover/Ultracote works well. Other colors used on Skywing aircraft are not close to any Oracover colors. For these colors, we keep a quantity in-stock at Extreme Flight in the USA. Please contact our customer service for help obtaining repair sections of these colors.
