Shipping policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Extreme Flight ships products throughout the United States and to customers around the world. Because our products range from small replacement parts to giant-scale aircraft requiring palletized freight service, shipping methods, rates and delivery requirements vary by product and destination.
1. Standard Shipping
Most products are shipped using parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, USPS or other available services.
Shipping rates displayed at checkout are based on the products ordered, destination and available shipping services.
Delivery dates and transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless specifically stated otherwise by the carrier.
Once a shipment has been transferred to the carrier, delays caused by weather, carrier operations, customs, incorrect address information or other circumstances outside Extreme Flight's control may affect delivery.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order.
2. Giant-Scale Aircraft & Freight Shipping
Most giant-scale aircraft 85 inches and larger must be shipped by truck freight on a pallet due to their size.
Freight Rates Are Estimates
Freight shipping charges displayed or quoted at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed final shipping rates.
Extreme Flight manually reviews and books each freight shipment individually. We compare available freight carriers and service options to obtain an appropriate combination of cost, transit time, service and shipment protection/insurance for each order.
Actual freight charges can vary based on destination, carrier availability, shipment size and weight, fuel or market surcharges, and services required at the delivery location.
Certain addresses or delivery areas may incur additional carrier-imposed charges, including:
-
Residential delivery
-
Liftgate service
-
Limited-access locations
-
Rural or remote-area delivery
-
Extended delivery areas
-
Appointment or notification services
-
Terminal or special-handling requirements
-
Other destination-specific carrier surcharges
These charges are established by the freight carrier and may not be known or accurately calculated when the order is initially placed.
If the actual cost to ship an order is higher than the amount collected or quoted at checkout, Extreme Flight will contact the customer before shipment. Any additional freight charges must be approved and paid before the order can be released for shipment.
If the customer chooses not to proceed with the additional freight cost, the order may be cancelled and refunded in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and Return & Refund Policy.
3. Commercial vs. Residential Freight Delivery
Commercial freight rates generally apply only to legitimate commercial locations that are recognized by the freight carrier as commercial delivery addresses and have appropriate freight receiving capabilities.
A business operated from a residence or located within a residential area may still be classified by the carrier as a residential delivery and may be subject to additional charges.
Commercial addresses with a loading dock or forklift capable of safely unloading the shipment generally provide the most economical delivery option.
Please provide accurate information regarding your delivery location. If a carrier reclassifies an address or assesses additional charges because the delivery location was incorrectly identified, those additional charges are the responsibility of the customer.
4. Freight Terminal Pickup
In many cases, picking up a giant-scale aircraft at a nearby freight terminal can reduce shipping costs and simplify delivery.
If you would prefer terminal pickup, please include that request in your order notes or contact Extreme Flight before shipment.
We will help identify an appropriate terminal and determine whether terminal pickup provides a better shipping option for your order.
Government-issued identification may be required by the freight carrier when collecting a shipment from a terminal.
5. Freight Delivery & Inspection
Freight shipments should be inspected carefully before signing the delivery receipt whenever possible.
If the pallet, carton or aircraft box shows obvious significant damage, please photograph the damage and refuse the shipment whenever reasonably possible.
If you accept a shipment with visible damage, make sure the damage is clearly noted on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
Do not discard the shipping carton, pallet, wrapping or other packaging materials until you have fully inspected the shipment.
6. Shipping Damage
Please inspect all shipments promptly upon delivery.
Any shipping damage, whether obvious at delivery or concealed after opening the package, must be reported to Extreme Flight within 7 days of delivery.
When reporting shipping damage, please provide:
-
Your name and order number
-
A description of the damage
-
Clear photographs of the damaged product
-
Photographs of the shipping carton or crate
-
Photographs of the pallet and packaging materials when applicable
-
A photograph of the shipping label
-
A copy or photograph of the delivery receipt when applicable
Please retain all original packaging until the claim has been resolved.
Extreme Flight will review the reported damage and work with the carrier as appropriate. Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include replacement parts, product replacement, exchange, repair, store credit or refund.
Damage reported more than 7 days after delivery may not be eligible for replacement, refund or shipping-damage claim assistance, except where otherwise required by law.
7. Warranty
Unless otherwise stated, products manufactured by Extreme Flight are warranted to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase.
Customers should fully inspect all products and aircraft before assembly, installation or use and report any suspected manufacturing defect within the applicable warranty period.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage resulting from:
-
Assembly or installation
-
Modification or alteration
-
Improper setup or maintenance
-
Misuse or improper operation
-
Accident or crash damage
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Use outside the product's intended purpose
Once an aircraft has been flown, it is no longer eligible for warranty coverage.
Because Extreme Flight cannot verify the assembly, installation, setup, operation or circumstances surrounding a flown aircraft, claims involving aircraft that have already been flown cannot be treated as manufacturing-defect warranty claims.
8. Products Manufactured by Other Companies
Some products sold by Extreme Flight are manufactured by third parties and may carry a warranty provided by the original manufacturer.
Where applicable, Extreme Flight will assist customers with identifying or contacting the manufacturer regarding warranty coverage.
Third-party products remain subject to the warranty terms established by their respective manufacturers.
9. International Shipping
International shipping charges, transit times, duties, taxes, brokerage fees and customs requirements vary by destination.
Unless otherwise stated, the customer is responsible for applicable import duties, taxes, brokerage charges, customs fees and other charges assessed by the destination country or carrier.
International shipping estimates do not guarantee delivery dates, customs-clearance times or final government-imposed charges.
Certain oversized products may require a custom international freight quote before shipment.
10. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Returns, exchanges, refunds and order cancellations are governed by our separate Return & Refund Policy.
Please review that policy before returning any product. All returns and exchanges require prior approval from Extreme Flight.
