Designer Terry Wiles is known for his easy-to-fly, confidence-inspiring and high performance aerobatic designs. When Terry decided to do the iconic Cap design as an ARF for Extreme Flight, a design which has been done so poorly so many times by others, we knew it was going to be epic.
Terry preserved the instantly-recognizable Cap styling, with its muscular cowl, long lines and unique tail, and gave it all of the predictability and stability of an Extra. It's magnificent. Solid, stable harrier locks in perfectly. The Cap draws long straight lines without a thought. It's low-coupling, and has tremendous authority for XA. It does it all. It does it extremely well.
Built with all of the great features of an Extreme Flight aircraft: hand selected balsa, composite reinforced top-grade ply, pultruded carbon structural members, the Cap is ready for your harshest maneuvers. Ultra-modern construction materials and techniques make this aircraft strong and light, featuring our quick locking wing latch and canopy retention for super-fast assembly at the flying field.
It arrives to you highly pre-fabricated with pre-hinged and gap-sealed ailerons and elevator, all hardware, included spinner, foil wing bags, and quick-latching wings for easy setup at the field. Available in 2 gorgeous ultracote color schemes in the iconic Cap combinations of Red/Blue/Yellow and "Castrol" Green/White/Red. Full color EF decals are also included with each scheme.
The 67” Extreme Flight line-up has been specifically designed around and tested with the T-motor AM670 power system. This system is perfect - it requires no programming; the AM670 motor and AM116A ESC come perfectly matched to each other. It has incredible power, and provides shocking acceleration and prodigious thrust when paired with the matched T-Motor 18x8 carbon prop.
The 67” Cap 580 requires 4 top-quality mini servos. We recommend either the EF/Theta 989 servo or the SAVOX SV-1261MG, be careful about using anything less!

With an Extreme Flight RxR all of this performance comes preinstalled at at the factory and in about hour, you can go from box-to-flight! The amazing T-motor AM670 power system is fully-installed and ready to go. Requiring only a throttle calibration, no complicated motor and esc programming is necessary.
Fast and powerful Theta 989 HV servos with Extreme Flight 7075 aluminum arms are installed and ready. All servo extensions are installed. Even the XT-90 battery connector is installed.
