EF - 70" Slick 580 EXP V2 - White/Blue/Orange

The 70" Slick is an ultra-performance 35CC class aerobatic machine. Like the other Extreme Flight Slick 580 models, it's aggressive when you want it to be, and a comfortable and easy 3D machine when you're ready to slow things down. It arrives to you highly pre-fabricated, with pre-hinged and gap-sealed surfaces. A carbon wing tube, carbon landing gear, competition-grade hardware package featuring Du-Bro ball links, ultracote covering, and foil wing bags are all included.    

For gasoline power, we recommend the DA-35 or GP38 engine, and we have pre-marked the firewall for these engines. Use the standoffs included with these engines and a 20x8 or 20x9 prop. 

For electric power, we recommend the XPWR 32CC brushless outrunner motor paired an 80-120 amp HV ESC, providing approximately 3000-3200 watts.  Our choice is the Castle Creations Edge 80 HV so the 70" Slick 580 airframe is equipped with a custom mounting location specifically for the Edge controllers.  With the XPWR 32cc, we recommend 12S 3000-3700mah lipo batteries with a 20x8 or 20x10 electric prop. Use firmware 4.22 only with your Castle Creations speed controller. We provided test motors to Castle during the development of this firmware version and is it best matched to our XPWR motors.

The V2 Slick 580 EXP requires 4 full-size metal-gear servos, we recommend the SAVOX 1270 or 1280 units.  If using gas power, add an additional servo for throttle control, which does not need to be high torque, although high speed is beneficial.
