EF - 75" Extra 260 - Red/White

The new 75” Extra 260 from Extreme flight is a clean-sheet design intended to solve the common problems of 35CC-class aircraft and create an aircraft even experienced pilots will want to own and fly simply for the performance and convenience. 

The 75” 260 really and truly is designed for all the power options: 35CC single cylinder gas, 40CC twin gas, and 12S electric. They all fit in the cowl properly, including straight-plug 40CC twins, they all have proper throttle linkage included, and they all have proper cooling parts included. No more cobbling together custom setups for your engine. Everything just works.

Another constant problem with this class was elevator servos. Two mini servos allowed stab removal for transport, but balancing elevator travel and speed was a problem. One high-quality servo is better performance, but joiners were marginal and prevented stab removal. The 75” 260 solves it. One high-performance full-size servo drives both elevators in perfect harmony through a new-technology light metal joiner system, giving both perfect performance and easy transport. Remove one screw and loosen another, and the stabs come off like a 120CC design.

The aerodynamic package on the 75” 260 is a further derivation of the Gen V used on the other 260’s, tuned for this exact size. It’s a high-damping for new pilots to give confidence, and shares the performance and maneuverability of the other 260’s for extreme aerobatic ability.

We flight tested the 75” with various single-cylinder and twin cylinder setups, as well as 3500W electric using 12S 3700mah. Performance is excellent, and CG is easily achievable without ballast on any setup. Coupling is very low, as is wing rock.

The 75” 260 is built of quality balsa, ply and carbon fiber. It is covered in genuine Ultracote. It includes competition-grade hardware with DuBro brand ball joints. It includes a finished cockpit area, a vibration-resistant quick-latch canopy system, quick-latching wings and stabs, and features extremely quick pre-fabricated build with pre-hinged and gap-sealed surfaces and installed control horns.

We wanted to make a “Mini 120CC Extra 260” with all of the cool features of bigger planes…and we did. We think this is by far the best 35CC class aerobatic plane yet. We expect the rest of the industry to scramble to copy all this goodness. Hurry up, boys. You have some catching up to do...
